Assistant Professor of Social Psychology, Department of Health Sciences, University of Burgos. She holds a PhD in Philosophy and Educational Sciences (Psychology) from the University of the Basque Country.
She has been teaching for 25 years in two Spanish universities, Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) and Universidad de Burgos, in a total of 7 different degrees within the branches of Social and Legal Sciences (Political Sciences and Administration, Audiovisual Communication, Teaching, and Pedagogy) and Health Sciences (Nursing, Psychology, Occupational Therapy), and various Masters and Doctoral Courses. She created an Association on Sexuality, Equality, and Gender Violence called «Lahia-Nahia Sexologia Elkartea,» where an average of 4-5 professionals worked for over 25 years, offering different programs and services. She has supervised eight doctoral theses.

Her lines of research focus on sexuality and sexual risks (unwanted pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases, and AIDS), equality and gender violence, aggressive behavior, stigma, quality of life and well-being, design and evaluation of health, social and educational programs, adaptation and validation of measurement instruments.

She is the author of 38 articles indexed in the JCR database and over 80 non-indexed articles, book chapters, and books. She has presented numerous research papers at national and international conferences Also participated in multiple local, regional, national, and European projects as main researcher and collaborator.
